Grand Forks Parks District
The mission of the Grand Forks Park District is to promote broad-based opportunities for all ages and abilities.
To increase and enhance equal access of recreational benefits and participation in parks and recreation,
To increase public awareness as to the healthful benefits of participation in parks and recreation,
To promote beautification of the city's natural environment,
To promote professionalism in the delivery of parks, recreation, and environmental services,
And to increase the understanding of the contributions made by parks, recreation, and forestry to the economic development of our community.

NoVAC strives to raise levels of appreciation, support and participation in the arts and cultural communities within Greater Grand Forks. We believe that a vibrant community of arts and cultural groups, organizations and entities, as well as individual artists, is essential to the qulaity of life and economic vigor of the community at large. |

Empire Arts CenterEmpire Arts Center is a non-profit multi-purpose facility located in downtown Grand Forks, ND. Renovated in 1998, the Empire is a circa 1919 movie house renovated into a multi-use theater and gallery facility. The Empire Arts Center hosts a variety of theater productions, perfoming arts, films, concerts, speakers, community events, and meetings throughout the year. |

Greater Grand Forks Symphony OrchestraFor nearly one hundred years The Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra has entertained audiences throughout the Red River Valley. The season of five to seven traditional and contemporary classical music concerts runs from September to May. In addition, the Symphony sponsors chamber music concerts, school and community outreach activities, and musician residencies. The core orchestra of fifty local musicians is often joined by nationally known musicians and other guest artists . Performances are at the Empire Arts Center and the Chester Fritz Auditorium.
